GRIP Autocross Championship

The road to the GRIP Autocross Championship is paved with skill, strategy, and speed. Throughout the racing season, competitors accumulate points at each event, culminating in the grand finale—the GRIP Autocross Championship Race. This ultimate event determines who will be crowned the season champion.

Season-Long Points Accumulation

Competitors earn points at each event based on their performance, which contributes to their overall championship standing. Here’s how points are awarded at each race:

  • 1st Place: 6 points
  • 2nd Place: 4 points
  • 3rd Place: 3 points
  • 4th Place: 2 points
  • 5th Place: 1 point

For instance, if a driver finishes first in one event and second in another, they will have a total of 10 points (6 points + 4 points).

Strategic Play

To maximize competitive fairness and strategy, each driver at GRIP Autocross has the option to drop their lowest-scoring event from the season’s tally. This means that the event where a driver scored the fewest points—or an event they missed—will not count against their overall championship points. This rule allows drivers to mitigate the impact of one poor performance or an unavoidable absence, emphasizing their best results in the championship standings.

The Championship Race

All points earned during the season will be tallied leading up to the final race, where the top performers will compete with their entry fee waived. The GRIP Autocross Championship Race is not just a test of speed but a culmination of a season’s efforts, determination, and tactical excellence.
